Wasps Sign New Center
Wasps have signed a new center, Lachlan Mitchell, from the New South Wales Waratahs, where he was a member of their rugby academy. He has signed a two year deal, and was recommended by the ex England prop Trevor Woodman, who is a coach out in Australia for Sydney University, which Mitchell had attended.
Wasps have signed several of their own academy players as well, with Hugo Ellis joining Wasps on a two year contract as well. It is always pleasing to see clubs promoting their own academy players and bringing in young players, it means that the club is planning for rthe future rather than just shoring up the squad with a couple of experienced players with only a few years left in them.
