Richard Wigglesworth latest England Scrum-half
Has anyone noticed that there hasn’t been a great England scrum-half since the days of Dawson? We have had supposed heirs to the crown - remember Shaun Perry? Gomarsall was starting to look like it could be him the second time round, only to falter in the first two games of this six nations.
So we now have the latest pretender to the crown, and he is now starting his first game - Richard Wigglesworth of Sale. It is almost his first cap - he played the final 20 minutes against Italy 2 weeks ago, and thats it. As well as this, the substitute scrum half is Paul Hodgson of London Irish. Number of caps = 0.
On the upside Morgan Parra is starting for France at Scrum Half, and he is also starting his first game.
Should be an interesting battle of the scrum-halves!
