Rabeni to go before disciplinary hearing

Seru Rabeni, the Leicester center, is to go before to an RFU disciplinary hearing having been accused of playing rugby while banned. He was banned for 14 weeks for making illegal contact with the eye of Andy Kyriacou, the Saracens Hooker during a game.

However, the 28 year old Fijian International is alleged to have played in several 7’s tournaments during the time he was banned. If he is found guilty, he will probably miss the beginning of Leicester’s season.

If Rabeni did play while banned, that was a very stuid thing to do. Did he think that no one would find out? Not a good start for Leicester anyways!
