Northampton win 35 games on the trot

Northampton Saints dominated Launceston to go the entire season undefeated in NL1. They won the final game 81 - 0, to give them a 35 match winning streak and allowing Chris Ashton to break the record for most tries scored in one season in the National Leagues. Having already secured promotion over a month ago, Northampton could have taken their foot off the pedal and let the quality of play decrease. Instead they seem to have picked up the pace and have increased the quality of their game, looking into the new season in the Guinness Premiership.

With Mallinder stating that he wants to stay with Northampton, and several high quality signings on their way to Franklins Gardens next year, there is a lot to look forward to next year for Northampton.
