From being 20 - 8 up at half time Harlequins made too many mistakes in the second half giving the ball away to London Irish who finished the game at 28 - 27.

The Exiles were lagging behind before half time as Harlequins raced into a 20-3 lead with Ugo Monye and Tom Guest both scoring tries.

A vital counter-punch was landed shortly before half time with a breakaway try and the Exiles then dominated the second half to finish the game on 28 points.

Hewat kicked 18 points for the Exiles making them two scores clear though Harlequins’ scrum-half Danny Care set up a cheeky late converted try - but London Irish held out and returned to winning ways after two straight defeats.
