Leicester Beat Ospreys
Leicester tigers beat the Ospreys in a preseason friendly/benefit match. The final score was 17 - 30 to Leicester, with Leicester’s tries being scored by matt Smith and Will Hurrel. As well as this, the tigers were awarded a penalty try, with Toby Flood kicking all three conversions and three penalties as well. the Ospreys scored two tries, one by Rhys Webb and one by Andy Lloyd, with Biggar kicking a penalty and a conversion and James Hook getting the other conversion.
This match wasn’t really a true reflection of either team, as the Ospreys mixed and matched the team, and in the second half had an entirely different team on the pitch. Also, Leicester were awarded a penalty try at the end of the game, which makes the score-line look more favorable to Leicester than it perhaps should have.
This year is Shane William’s testimonial year, so it must be a little bit disappointing for him, starting out with a loss like that.
