Lee Byrne signs new contract with Ospreys

Lee Byrne has signed a new 4 year contract, which will see him committed to the Ospreys until the end of the 2011/12 season. Byrne, who is the current Welsh fullback, has had a very good 6 nations so far, including 2 tries against Italy.

The current Welsh coach - Warren Gatland - has said that he wants all Welsh players to play for Welsh clubs, so this looks like Byrne is definitely stating his intent to play for Wales in the years to come.
