Ireland Prop Retires Due To Medical Condition

The Ireland and Ulster prop, Simon Best, has announced that he is retiring from rugby due to an irregular heartbeat. Best was originally diagnosed with the condition during the last World Cup, when he lost feeling in the right hand side of his body. He has had no further problems since then, but has been advised by Doctors and medical experts against continuing with rugby due to the stress that the high levels of fitness training and playing will put on his heart.

I always hate to see it when someone has to retire for medical reasons. Good luck Simon in whatever you plan to do next!
