Harlequins Deny Dealings With Dwain Chambers
Harlequins have denied that they had discussed any possible relationship with Dwain Chambers, the former Great Britain sprinter, as a sprint coach for the team. The premiership team’s Chief Executive, Mark Evans, has even gone on to say that:
Dwain Chambers has not, and will not, be employed by the club in any capacity.
Harlequins have also said that they are not looking to replace their current sprint coach, Tony Lester, who is used by many current Great Britain sprinters, and is very highly rated by all who use him.
Dwain Chambers has popped up in the world of rugby before, albeit rugby league. He had a trail at Castleford, including some game time, but was not offered a contract, and from what i saw of him playing, he was very out of his depth.
