Gloucester sign a Scarlets player

Gloucester have signed the Wales and Llanelli Scarlets player Matthew Watkins on a two year contract. He is leaving Llanelli having scored 33 tries since he joined in 2002.

Of all the teams that should be strengthening their squads, Gloucester do not come high up the list. However, it is great to see, and means that teams like Newcastle need to start looking even more intensely at getting a competitive team together.
