Bergamasco is a very naughty boy - gets caught

Mauro Bergamasco has just been handed a 13 week ban after he plead guilty to gouging. He was found to have deliberately stuck his finger in the eye of Lee Byrne , the Welsh fullback, during the Italy Wales game last weekend.

Now it has to be said, that I may have swung a few punches while playing rugby, and on one memorable occasion was part of a 31 man brawl (someone from the side line got involved using an umbrella), however, gouging is a definite no no in my book. I think that a 13 week ban is about right. It means that Bergamasco will miss the rest of the 6 nations plus most if not all of Stade Francais’ remaining games. The ban doesn’t start until the 3rd of March, as he is currently injured, and what is the use of a ban if the player is already injured?

All I can say is this: Mauro, you were very dumb and got caught. I am glad I dropped you from my 6 nations fantasy team you idiot.
